This role will involve liaison with new and existing suppliers and the companys sales network. To develop, maintain and monitor product portfolios with allocated suppliers and introduce new ranges and products as required. Review existing product ranges to evaluate success in market - both volume and value - and identify ways to improve on current offerings using various product management strategies. To recommend supplier and product selection. Liaise with marketing manager to effectively communicate product strategy and produce / update product literature and other marketing collateral To conduct any product evaluation and sampling required to make a commercial decision. To produce data analysis/reports geared around products and customer segments for developing our offering and maximising sales and profit To ensure compliance with relevant technical product legislation and manage the certification process To monitor competitor activity including understanding the product offerings To recommend pro-active and tactical product initiatives such as joint supplier working etc. To interface with all levels of Operations/Salesforce and Customers to ensure understanding of their needs and assist in driving innovative concepts through to market. To interface with all levels of Operations/Salesforce/Suppliers and Customers to ensure any complaints and product issues are dealt with via the correct procedures. To develop and deliver product training and technical support to Salesforce and other internal colleagues. To guide other team members on pricing and stock management system To assist in identifying ways to reduce obsolete and slow moving stock.
